Imagine not getting spoiler's about the game for a whole year because you want it to buy it for your birthday and ended up being the best game you played in the decade? Well that was me. (Thanks to every Porter for your structures that save me in many ways.)

A video game with no killing, you say?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2021 03:29 PM PST

I think one of the most progressive and interesting aspects of the game is how mortal violence is almost absent, with the severe in-game consequences of dead people making the player have to take much more responsibility for the deaths that Sam causes. The game offers a spiritual perspective with true karmic consequences for murder, unlike just about every other game out there that I can think of where bodies drop like flies with zero consequences. The heroic story of the main character has shifted from that seen in most games, from the story of a hero outside the law battling enemies to the death, enacting a code of personal justice to one of a man within a social contract rebuilding a society's shared infrastructure by hard work in the service of a greater good. One might even go so far as to call it a socialist game. Food for thought.

If one where to murder and incinerate all mules in an area, would they respawn or be gone forever in normal difficulty? Asking for a friend...

Edit: Asking again for the same friend, how many body bags can you fit in a long-range truck?

I just spent an hour creating a zipline network from the Timefall Farm to Peter Englert...

    Posted: 17 Jan 2021 11:30 AM PST

... only to find that I could not use the zipline network for that pizza delivery. My reasoning was that I would be using the ziplines with my right hand, and could hold the champagne with my left. I am a fool, and the ziplines are testament to my folly.

Anybody else wish there was a boat you could sail?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2021 09:39 PM PST

I know there's not any huge bodies of water but I was playing human fall flat earlier on the water level, and sailing around was so relaxing. I'd love to be able to do it in DS, as it's probably the best game for me to relax with.
