Posted: 12 Dec 2020 08:51 PM PST I've had this game for a week, on episode 5 now, and man I'm straight up loving this game. What's gotten me is just how anything can happen. There is no path. But you're path is the right path. I love how the trucks handle over tough terrain, there is no "for sure I can make that" you have to work your ass off to get through that damn crevasse, steep slope, fkn huge ass river, etc. it's just challenging enough to piss you off but make you so happy that the fact it was challenging. Straight fanboy shit over here. I love it. So interesting. And something so gratifying about delivering a package through a tough ass voyage, getting to say "I just manhandled that trip" . Very good shit. Would love to hear some of the favorite aspects and challenges of the game. [link] [comments]

Something I noticed at the end of the game, forgive me if this has been mentioned before. Posted: 12 Dec 2020 09:04 PM PST I just did a second playthrough of Death Stranding and I noticed something I didn't notice the first playthrough. After Die-Hardman/Bridget shoot and kill Cliff Unger and Sam, Bridget finds Sam on the beach and you see Cliff in the water staring back at her. I can only assume he's passing on from the beach to the afterlife, so does this mean that Cliff and Sam were meant to move onto the afterlife together? I'm assuming this because they were both on the same beach when they died. That would make things that much more tragic for poor Cliff Unger, considering the last thing he witnesses before he moves to the afterlife, is the woman who killed him, stealing away his son a second time and preventing him from moving on with him to the afterlife. Idk if this has been discussed before, but I'm curious on other people's thoughts/opinions on the matter. [link] [comments]

Is Death Stranding coming to PS5? Posted: 12 Dec 2020 05:27 AM PST I feel like the new controller would really add to the gameplay experience, I'm holding off buying it on pc in case they do some sort of official next gen port. I feel like the controller feedback would make the game that much more fun. [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Dec 2020 03:42 PM PST Bit of a rant, so TLDR: Death Stranding has all of it's cast already, well, cast. The story is a good length for a show, the concepts should be interesting to a larger audience, and this is a story that the larger world simply deserves to know. Many people think that Death Stranding should be adapted into an HBO TV show, and I'm a very big supporter of this. There are so many good possibilities and reasons for this. Uncharted has wrapped filming, The Last of Us has been ordered to series, and Sony has already said they are making more adaptations. Kojima made Death Stranding as a video game for many reasons, but this story is designed to be a TV show. It's lengthy, and a lot of the gameplay length(hours of walking) can be streamlined. The story is already divided into chapters. The characters are perfect representations of the people who play them, so there is no need for casting. And think about the concept, a post-disaster America where the dead cause significant problems, and monsters stalk the surface. America has collapsed, there are babies in jars. It is such an interesting setting, and I think general audiences would be greatly interested. Of course, the perfect time for the show is here, now, and a bit in the future. This is a story about a country divided, where we avoid contact and live largely separated of each other. But Sam must repair this, build bridges between people, and through his love repair America and end the disaster threatening to make us extinct. This message will be perfectly told in a post-pandemic world, where it is vital we rebuild bridges or we will risk being lost forever. In a perfect world, the show would have been finished before the pandemic and released during it, but right after may be an even more important time to share this message, if the virus sticks around for very much longer. If we campaign, we may get a TV show, and this beautiful story us few appreciate can be shared with the world. [link] [comments]

Finally got all the achievements Posted: 12 Dec 2020 05:28 AM PST What now? I mean I think I will stop playing the game for some time, maybe start it again next year. It was a hell of a ride. The story is probably going to make a lot more sense when I take a break from the game and kind of forget about it so winter/autumn next year seems like a perfect time to replay it! Thank you fellow porters! [link] [comments] |
