    Cyberpunk bugs in Death Stranding?

Picked the PC version up during the Steam winter sale. Fell absolutely in love with the game and wanted to have a collectors edition. Luckily Amazon still had a few in stock. Now the proud owner of my own BB!

I was wrong about Death Stranding

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 09:14 PM PST

When Death Stranding released back in November 2019, I was at college thus only able to learn whatever info I can about it via youtube videos and review scores. From what I 'saw' about the game, it looked really underwhelming, the story looked like what I thought was pure Kojima nonsense (had some prior frustrations in relation to the MGSV story which didn't help my opinion about DS) and thought what kind of idiot would ever enjoy this game. From watching reviewers who gave it overwhelmingly positive reviews and players who said the game was an experience like never before, I genuinely thought people are just being pretentious because it's a Kojima game and thus letting the hype blind them. My friend seemed very keen on trying but didn't have a PS4 while I spent my time asking him if he was mad wanting to try something like this out. Fast-forward to January 2021, having exhausted all my gaming backlog, I saw Death Stranding on sale and since I had nothing else left to play after work, I thought let's give it a shot. If I hate it, I can always sell my physical copy or give it to my friend. 3 days and 25 in game hours later, I must admit I was absolutely wrong about this game. It truly does have something unique about its gameplay which I can't point my finger on yet. It is such a rich experience, so calming, I can't put my controller down. All day while at work I think of playing DS and when not working or playing, I'm watching stuff about DS. I deliberately leave behind vehicles so that I can deliver stuff on foot. There's something about walking in this game that just has got me hooked and I am absolutely in love with this game.

I've started contributing a lot to making structures and watching other people benefit from it is such a pleasure. Im so proud to be part of this community.

Kitty makes an appearance in Treadmill Stranding

I just started playing, and I feel like I needed to have read a book before starting this game, am I missing out on something as far as backstory?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 04:27 PM PST

Im used to playing action and adventure games, uncharted, horizon, days gone, skyrim, and I have never been so lost at the beginning of a game. The controls seem off, new mechanics are constantly being introduced, I have no idea what any of the jargon means and I still don't have a gun. Is this game for me?

    Death Stranding theme song (Spoilers?)

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 02:38 PM PST

    Hey guys,

The song called Death Stranding by Chvrches that plays at the end of the game - it sounds so familiar....I don't think it's quite possible I've heard it on radio before but would you guys happen to know a song that sounds very similar to it?

I really really want to find out why it sounds so familiar!

Is there any reason as to why the northwest part of the central region requires a much higher amount of materials than anywhere else in the game?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 10:09 PM PST

The players in my server game up on that part of the map and for good reason lol. Got all other roads built except the roads near the photographer. Holy crap that's a lot of materials!

Interested in purchasing the game, but is the story good?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 01:40 AM PST

I know it's a strictly single player game and I don't care about what they say about the gameplay. I wanted to remain "clean" about story details, so my knowledge about this game is purely based on the trailers and nothing more.

So is it a good story? Is there any cut content from the trailers that didn't make it into the game?

I'm really really curious to try it, but I just want some kind of confirmation from someone more "experienced"...

graphics settings keep resetting every time I launch the game

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 02:10 PM PST

As the title says, every time I boot up the game I get a message saying that graphics settings have been set to minimum. the game runs fine on max settings just a little annoying having to change it every time I launch. there's a lot of posts from 5ish months ago about it, was a solution found?
