Death Stranding As Therapy

Death Stranding has become therapy for me. I'm going through a very rough patch in my life- everything is falling apart and I feel like all of my ties to the world are just going away.

I was about halfway through FF XV when I got Death Stranding and put off starting it. One night, in the midst of my depression, I decided to start it. There was something oddly comforting about the whole thing. Making my deliveries, building things, even getting attacked by BTs and MULEs puts me in to a Zen-like state.

I feel like I have a purpose- I deliver my cargo, I do my missions, I walk the strands. I needed this game so much right now. Does anyone else feel this way?

So far I dont really understand the contributing thing. I build all roads up to the weather station all by myself. I do contribute to other structures like shelters and bridges etc. And I have made strand contracts.

I've just arrived after a tense trip on foot. The moment you see it in the distance, making your way down the hill and the music coming on. It was amazing.
