Quick tip for turning w/out losing balance while carrying heavy loads

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 09:05 PM PDT

I just discovered you can hold the opposite backpack strap while turning and you can keep your balance in a much, much sharper turn. So if you're turning left, grip the right strap.

Apologies for those who knew this already. I just discovered it and it was literally a game changer for me. Kept losing balance on turns before this when carrying a lot of weight.

Can finally join this subreddit after just finishing Death Stranding, my favourite game of all time

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 04:47 PM PDT

Words cannot even describe how I am feeling right now. That story and that ending completely and utterly blew me away, and I don't think I will ever forget any of it.

The gameplay was so layered, with mechanic after mechanic being added, as you slowly find ways to effectively traverse and fight back against this brutal world. Only this and Breath of the Wild have had this kind of open world which just feels so fresh and beautiful and different. The social system was so rewarding, and considering I finished the game at 75 hours, it's fair to say I got more than a little sidetracked with deliveries and building roads.

But that's EXACTLY the point of the game, this is how it needs to be experienced. And the way that the gameplay feeds into the story - genius

And the music. Holy shit. That's all that I can really say.

There are too many incredible moments for me to even describe, and my thoughts are so jumbled right now. But what I do know is that I utterly adore Death Stranding.

I will never play a game like this again. The best game I have ever played in my entire life.

    Traveling in game

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 09:43 PM PDT

How do you guys go about making runs/traveling from Knot city to Knot city? (I'm carrying a larger load since I always pick up material packages) I'm in my truck, currently on my first trip to the mountains, and I come across the first BT "horde".

Do you guys think we will get a sequel?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 05:57 PM PDT

I really hope so, this is literally my favorite game of all time and I'd love nothing more than a sequel but I know a lot of people didn't really care for this game and I remember reading something about Sony being disappointed with sales. I also hope all the negativity doesn't keep Kohima from making more new experimental games. I loved every second of this game from the moment you take control of Sam til I beat it I was in love. I never had a dull moment in this game, my jaw was on the floor the entire time. Anyway I just wanted to see what you guys thought

Would you say that Death Stranding has changed the way you view the world?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 09:06 PM PDT

I'm deciding whether or not I want to play Death Stranding. I don't think I want to bother with it unless it really offers me some important insight like how a book might. It seems really cool, and it seems like a take/criticism/metaphor for the USA. Will it have been another empty-time, empty-calorie MONSTER ENERGY video game, or will it have felt substantial and meaningful?

You guys think we will get ng+?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 09:21 PM PDT

I think it would be cool to have ng+ and maybe adding a harder difficulty.

    So about The Elder

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 09:42 AM PDT

Honestly didn't see that coming. But the moment SND popped up I knew, scared me even when I saw him as a BT. Is there a way for me to cut his cord and send the poor bastard to the other side?

    Are the BTs random?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 06:14 PM PDT

So I got caught in one the Timefalls (assuming it was for story purposes) and I survived one of those crater things (where the black tries to swallow you up) and now there's no rain? Only dead fish.
