- Everything I see is Death Stranding now
- We've come so far...
- My entire delivery just flashed before my eyes
- I thought I would mess around a little bit after completing the main story and move on, but setting up a zipline network is turning out to be the most fun I've had with Death Stranding. The terrain being a puzzle of sorts has the most potential when putting a network together for ease of delivery.
- Here's my drawing of Cliff, took me a while to finish it. I'm not sure it came out good (still struggling with sketching) but I hope you'll like it!
- The level of detail on Sam's equipment is really impressive.
- My Fan Art of Higgs - Enjoy!
- Mama cosplay test Death Stranding by Sawaka
- An Excellent Game, Truly Worth the 99 Hours.
- I have many mistakes
- The director of Call Me By Your Name listed Death Stranding as one of his favorite movies of 2019
- Dammit. I was just trying to be nice and like the guys zip line 500 times and this is what I get
- Looking good Sam!
- [SPOILER] [ENDGAME] I want to thank every single Porter that helped me and this entire subreddit. You all are beautiful people. Keep on keeping on.
- Comrade Alexei Portэr Brиgэs squats to recover stamina on his important mission to deliver a package of водка to the local Distribution Center and help with the creation of the U.C.R.
- Just witnessed a structure being built by another player.
- Tried to recreate Mama in Tekken 7!
- When you make an amazing catch but the defender that's twice your size is not going to let you get away with it
- Just gonna leave this here..
- It is Finished.
- [Endgame] I'm 80 hours deep While traveling to my destination on an ordinary cargo run, the game "clicked" for me and it felt revolutionary
- Finished this death stranding commission, hope y’all like
- I just want to setup a zipline. I don't want no trouble.
- Got bored at work, so i made a little BT friend to keep me company. Sorry in advance for the poor drawing skills:)
- On my way to appease someone's pill addiction.

Posted: 05 Jan 2020 06:33 PM PST I always found the concept of bridge links neat. That I could see and use a fraction of someone's stuctures and vehicles, and they could do the same to mine. Not only that, but we could build around each other to cooperatively create an easier-to-travel world for each other. I also largely questioned the point behind the likes system, as I stopped carrying other IRL player cargo to destinations because the currecy it rewarded was useless. I just ignored the whole like system in general to a large degree. What I never put together was the deeper meaning behind the like system. Randomly while ziplining just now, I saw that I got 18 likes from two different people and it dawned on me. These were human beings sitting in their own homes playing their own copies of the game, going out of their way to thank me for being skilled/knowledgable in the way I play the game myself. Because I largely felt the likes system was pointless, I never wasted time hitting the touchpad on stuff because it wouldn't give anyone anything. On top of this, the reason the game was giving you likes for delivering other people's cargo was because you were finishing the concept that someone had in their head - they saw "trash" on the ground and knew it belonged to someone (even if it was an NPC) and wanted to go out of their way to make sure that person got it back (even if it's just for xp). The game tells you this flat out, that something might pass through 10+ porters to get to its destination, but I ultimately didn't care because I felt likes were purposeless, and tuned it out. What you're doing is co-operatively, without communicating at all, making each of your game world's a "better place". It wasn't until post-game when I found the collector that I really acknowledged this aspect either. When they sent me on a hunt to find some stolen video game consoles, it stood out to me and it clicked - some kid or gamer either had this stolen from them, or lost it on the surface before they went underground for good. And they can't come back out to get it back. So you're basically making a significant difference in the life of some NPC by getting it back to them, but it's still sort of a good feeling when you put it that way. And you also start to wonder if other human players who entrust lost cargo onto you, if they already made all these realizations and that they're entrusting it to you for that reason instead of just dumping it on the ground. Also, just like in real life, we form a sort of dependency on other people. I set up zipline paths touching every main distro center, but there were times when I had no chiral bandwidth left and had to rely on someone else's zipline to connect to. When you run out, you can dismantle your own ziplines for more bandwidth. What this does though, is screw the other player over, as now their zipline path is incomplete. As a result, at least personally, I kept getting the idea in my head to not remove my zipline paths that other people connected theirs too. Even if their connecting one leads to nothing in my game, that one structure I put down might be integral to them legend of legend ranking their mission. It gives me hope that other players feel the same way. Did anyone else have a similar moment when they feel like they "unlocked" some deeper level stuff in the game like this [link] [comments] | ||
