Yesterday it wasn't even on the list and was placed on the list after 7000 votes were already locked in (Putting the game at a huge disadvantage for winning). The Story of how I got Death Stranding.

So I have been looking forward to this game since it was announced. When the launch came I was unable to afford the game due to me being a hard working student in a town with a small window for job opportunities. So, I am currently studying for my ACT and my dad, who had heard mention DS before, makes a deal with me. If I made a 31 he would get me the game then and there. We don't have a lot of money and he had said he had put some back just to buy the game. I begin working really hard, hitting the books every free moment till I go to bed. Test day arrives and... I make 3 points short of my goal. I am true to my word, I scored short and I don't get the game. However, I don't stop studying. I tell my dad I'll just wait for Christmas and keep working. So I study and decide to take another practice test again and this time I make a 30. Today comes and my dad calls me to come see him. He tells me that even though we work for something we dont always get it right away, but if we keep working we will eventually get what we were seeking. He tells me to open the drawer beside him. Low and behold a copy of DS.

Edit: Also, he has made me really realize that not only do I want to do better on the ACT I want to do better in life. Working even harder now. To clarify even further my dad is one of the guys where if he doesn't feel like you've earned something you don't get it.
