Death Stranding helped me change my outlook on life

Unfortunatley I'm currently in a pretty lonely stage of my life having just moved across the entire US away from all my friends and family; Especially around the holidays it feels rough. I just finished the game last night and everything about it resonated with me. The gameplay, story and soundtrack evoke this sort of loneliness in the human experience we all feel. At the same time, Kojima's message with this game is that when we work together, things are better --- we need eachother. Rather than feeling bad about being alone, I feel like my life will be so much better if I meet someone. I feel inspired to get out there because I'll never be happy alone.

Hats off though, this game is truly incredible.

A “Mama”’s take on the game

I was super excited about this game because the trailer looked like a mind bending fever dream. I got it first day and have not been disappointed. Beyond the fact that this game helps me feel a little less alone and that the encouraging words of the NPCs when you make deliveries; I feel a special connection when I run around making those deliveries with BB.

I'm roughly 4 and a half months pregnant. I had a very hard time hearing Mama's story. I also feel very bad when BB gets stressed out but also feel joy when he laughs or coos. My own BB kicks and wiggles sometimes when I play, it seems to enjoy the sound of BB laughing from the controller.

I love the community, I love the feel and the story of the game.

Keep on keeping on, porters.
