    Maximum distance from Order cargo you can reach before the cargo is lost is 800 meters. Once you have reached 800m you have approx. 30 seconds (didn't stopwatch it exactly) to move closer below the 800m distance threshold, and an info warning pops up on screen to warn you in yellow lettering "Too far from cargo: 'order cargo name' " if you do not then the cargo is removed from your game, the order cargo is labeled "missing" in your Orders menu, and another yellow info message appears saying "Cargo now eligible for delivery by others: 'order cargo name' ". If you return to the terminal that you started the order from there is no option to reissue the cargo or restart the order, you can only cancel the order from Sam's cufflink menu, at which time the standard 12 hour cooldown starts just as if you had failed the order any other way.

    PHEW... Early on in my game I lost an order to this and always wondered what the distance was because I had no real warning and when it happened I was riding a zipline and could not stop or go back and lost the cargo, I was annoyed. needed to get this info out to all you Porters out there and maybe avoid tragedy. :-)
